Sometimes I add a hanging loop on the back (refer to photos to confirm) so that you can hang them as part of your decor too!

I use leftover scraps of fabrics to create these patchwork potholders. Sizes vary somewhat depending on pattern used. They will fall in the 10 inch square range (about 25 cm). Photos show the mats with a small size saucepan for reference.

Each mat is constructed with two inner layers, one is regular quilt batting and the other is a thermal batting called InsulBright. This makes a nice thick, sturdy hot mat that will last and handle all your baking and kitchen needs. Easy care, just throw in with your regular laundry.
